New on Amazon Prime Video in January 2021: One Night In Miami and more

January 2021 is almost here, which means new content is coming to Amazon Prime Video. The streaming service is dropping a couple of new movies, a new reality special, and the surprise debut of the final 10 episodes of the hit show Vikings.

Vikings (Final 10 episodes – December 30)

Before 2021 begins, Amazon Prime Video will drop the final 10 episodes of the hit History Channel series Vikings on December 30. These last episodes conclude the saga of the Norse hero Ragnar Lothbrok and those of his family as he rises to become king of the Vikings. These last 10 episodes will drop on the History Channel cable network later in 2021. You can also watch all the previous seasons of the show now on Amazon Prime Video.

Herself (January 8)

This original movie centers on a woman who has left an abusive relationship and has taken her two young children with her. After months of trying to just get by, she decides to put down roots by building her own house. She gets some help in her project along the way, but also has some new issues, along with having to still deal with her ex-partner.

One Night in Miami (January 15)

Actor Regina King makes her directorial debut with this movie. Set in the early 1960s, it offers up a fictionalized version of a real-life meeting in a Miami hotel between four great black icons: the boxer Cassius Clay (later known as Mohammad Ali), the activist Malcolm X, the football player Jim Brown, and the singer Sam Cooke.

The Great Escapists (January TBD)

The Grand Tour’s Richard Hammond leaves the comforts of his cars, and almost everything else, in this reality show series. Hammond, and Mythbusters’ Tory Belleci, are “shipwrecked� on a deserted and isolated island. With nothing but what’s on the island, plus whatever is available from their wrecked ship, the two men are challenged to not only survive but to turn their location into an island paradise.
