AT&T Mobile Share Plans

For those who don’t need unlimited data, AT&T’s mobile share plans are what you are looking for. Both of them support unlimited talk and texts in the US and Mexico. Both also offer mobile hotspot data for your high-speed allotment. The cheapest plan offers 3GB of high-speed data for $50 a month. The other costs $60 a month and has 9GB of high-speed data. Both plans have rollover data. That means if you don’t use all of your high-speed data before the billing period ends, that unused data gets rolled over into the next month.
AT&T Unlimited Plans
New AT&T subscribers can choose from three unlimited plans. All of them have unlimited talk, text, and data in the US, Canada, and Mexico. You also get free texting to over 120 countries, along with suspected spam and fraud alerts.
AT&T Unlimited Starter
The cheapest of the three AT&T unlimited plans is called Unlimited Starter, and cost $65 a month for one line, or you can get a four-line bundle for $140. These prices are with a $10 discount for using paperless billing and AutoPay. Keep in mind that under this plan, your 4G LTE data speeds could be throttled at any time if the carrier is getting too much traffic. This plan supports standard resolutions for video streaming.
AT&T Unlimited Extra
This AT&T unlimited plan costs $75 a month for one line, or you can get a four-line bundle for $160. These prices are with a $10 discount for using paperless billing and AutoPay. Again, the 4G LTE data speeds could be throttled at any time if the carrier is getting too much traffic. This has all of the features of the Starter plan, plus it throws in 15GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data a month.
AT&T Unlimited Elite
The most expensive of the three AT&T Unlimited plans, Unlimited Elite costs $85 a month for one line or $200 for four lines. The Elite tier will throw in 30GB of free high-speed mobile hotspot data a month, 5G access with compatible devices, and a high definition video streaming experience. Finally, the Elite plan grants users access to HBO and HBO Max. Your 4G LTE data speeds could be throttled if you go over 22GB before the end of your monthly billing cycle.
AT&T data-only plans
If you just want to access the network on your tablet, laptop, or other non-smartphone connected device, you’ll want to check out AT&T plans that are designed with data-only customers in mind. One plan offers 10GB of data a month for $50. The other plan has 15GB of data for $70 a month. If you go over your data amounts, the cost is $10 per extra GB. Both plans offer unlimited use of AT&T’s Wi-Fi hotspots.
AT&T international plans
If you’re traveling outside the US, the carrier has a couple of options to keep you connected. One is the AT&T Passport International roaming plan, which will work in over 200 countries and offers unlimited texts. For $70 a month, you can get 2GB of data and $0.35 per minute for calls. For $140 a month, your data limit goes up to 6GB, again with $0.35 a minute for phone calls.
A better option for travelers who are only spending a few days overseas is the AT&T International Day Pass, which is available in over 100 counties. It costs $10 a day and offers AT&T customers a way to use either their current Mobile Share plan or Unlimited plan in other parts of the world. The daily charge includes unlimited calls from those countries back to the US, along with unlimited texting throughout the world.
Needless to say, these plans give new customers a ton of different choices and bundles to choose from.
