Roborock has unveiled its latest robotic vacuum cleaner at CES 2021. The Roborock S7 levels up home cleaning with intelligence to automatically transition between surfaces. It also comes with high-intensity mopping skills that can scrub your floors up to 3,000 times per minute to get rid of tough stains and messes.

Unlike many robot vacuums, the Roborock S7 does not require you to set any barriers or zones for different surfaces. The company calls this its new “VibraRise technology. So while mopping hard floors, the bot will intelligently switch to vacuuming mode when it detects carpeted areas. This way, the S7 can mop and vacuum in a single cleaning session. The mop is also lifted as the S7 returns to its dock for charging, ensuring that just-cleaned floors remain clean.

If you do want to set cleaning parameters though, the app accompanying the Roborock S7 will let you do so. It’ll also allow you to use a joystick mode to drive around the robotic cleaner wherever you please. The mop lift feature can also be controlled manually through the app.

Elsewhere, the Roborock S7 comes with voice control abilities. It works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri to register voice commands for added convenience. The battery life of the new model remains unchanged at 5,200mAh, promising up to three hours of uninterrupted cleaning.

The Roborock S7 will be available on Amazon in the US starting March 24 for a suggested retail price of $649. If that’s too expensive for you and you don’t want to wait until March, you can also consider picking up the Roborock S6 that’s currently selling for $419.
