LG’s UltraFine OLED Pro at CES 2021 is a creator’s dream monitor

  • LG has announced a 31.5-inch UltraFine OLED Pro 4K monitor at CES 2021.
  • It boasts of a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and individually dimmable pixels.
  • It’s designed to serve the needs of visual effects artists, animators, and video producers.

LG took to the CES 2021 virtual floor flexing major display muscle. One of the coolest things it had to show off was the new entry to its UltraFine monitor series — the LG UltraFine OLED Pro. The 31.5-inch 10-bit 4K OLED monitor is so impressive we even gave it our CES 2021 Top Picks Award.

So what’s so special about the LG UltraFine OLED Pro? For starters, the monitor comes with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 so you can expect deep blacks and bright whites. It also features individual dimming for its more than eight million pixels, helping eliminate any annoying halo effect.

For color accuracy, the monitor covers 99 percent of both the DCI-P3 and the Adobe RGB color space. It even has a decent number of ports, including one USB-C port with 90W power delivery, two DisplayPorts, one HDMI, three USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Anyhow, there’s no price on this baby yet but it sure won’t come cheap. Until you see more of it in the hands of reviewers, you can drool on it in the video embedded above.
