- Two new headphone offerings on the way, the Cowin Apex Elite TWS earbuds and Cowin SE9 over-ear headphones, for $89.99 and $149.99 respectively.
- There’s also a new 25W Cowin Soundbar coming for $79.99 USD.
CES only started in earnest today, but the announcements are already coming fast. Chinese audio company Cowin announced three new products today as part of the virtual trade show.
The Cowin Apex Elite are active noise-cancelling true wireless earbuds. They’re IPX5 rated for water-resistance, making them a fine pick for athletes. According to Cowin, the earbuds can last up to seven hours on a single charge, with capacity for up to 30 hours of playback when you factor in the charging case’s capacity — all with ANC on and the volume turned to max. The earbuds are already available through Cowin’s webstore for $89.99, which is pretty cheap, considering the features.
The company also announced new over-ear headphones coming later this year, the Cowin SE9. These headphones also bring active noise-cancelling and up to 20 hours of playback on a single charge, as well as support for Bluetooth 5.0 and the codecs like aptX. This kind of offering typically pops up in pretty expensive headphones, so it seems rather impressive the SE9 can cram it all in for around $150 — whether Cowin actually pulled everything off well remains to be seen.
Additionally, Cowin showed off its new budget-oriented 25W Soundbar, which will cost just $79.99 when it comes out later this year. This wireless soundbar can sit under the TV like any other, or you can split it in two and arrange the halves vertically on either side. The soundbar is primarily wireless using Bluetooth 4.2, but it also supports connections via 3.5mm, optical, and HDMI.
