- A rumor has Microsoft showing a new Obsidian RPG at its Xbox Series X July event.
- It would also provide a deeper look at Rare’s open-world fantasy game Everwild.
- The event takes place July 23.
Microsoft’s next Xbox Series X preview event could be welcome news if you’re eager to see games from some of the software giant’s better-known studios.
Historically accurate tipster Klobrille claims (via Wccftech) the July presentation will include not only a deeper look at Rare’s Studio Ghibli-like title Everwild, previewed at X019, but a new role-playing game from The Outer Worlds creator Obsidian. Details of the RPG are scarce, but AltChar pointed to rumors of a “AAA open-world game reminiscent of Skyrim that has reportedly been in development for a long time.
Klobrille also suggested that you might see more of Halo Infinite during the virtual media gala.
You likely won’t have to wait long to get the full scoop, at least. Microsoft will stream an Xbox Games Showcase for July 23 at 12PM Eastern. You’re just a couple of weeks away from seeing how first-party developers plan to make the new Xbox shine.
