What is the first Power spin-off series?
It’s called Power Book II: Ghost. It will begin just a few days after the events of the Power season finale. (Spoiler Alert!) At the end of the series, the main character of Power, nightclub owner, and drug dealer James “Ghost St. Patrick, was shot and killed by his own son Tariq. However, Tariq’s mother Tasha is the one who gets arrested and goes to jail for her ex-husband’s murder.

As the series progresses, we will see Tariq get involved in more than just studies and classes at college. He also tries to free his mother from prison. Michael Rainey Jr. and Naturi Naughton reprise their Power roles as Tariq and Tasha in this new series. Mary J. Blige and Method Man also have roles, playing new characters in this series.
When does Power Book II: Ghost start?
The season premiere begins on Starz on Sunday, September 6.
What are the other spin-off series about and when will they start?
Right now there’s no word on when any of the other Power spin-off series will be shown on Starz. Power Book III: Raising Kanan will actually be a prequel series that’s set in the 1990s. It will look at the early life of Ghost’s fellow drug dealer and mentor Kanan Stark, who in the original series was played by executive producer Curtis “50 Cent Jackson. Power Book IV: Influence will follow another original cast member Rashad Tate, played by Larenz Tate, as he enters the political arena. Finally, Power Book V: Force will center on Tommy, Ghost’s former business partner. Played once again by Joseph Sikora, Power Book V will take place sometime after the finale of the original series, with Tommy taking himself to Lost Angeles.
