Phones haven’t always come with kickass night modes that let us see in the dark. A few years ago, if you wanted to take a photo in low light, you had to turn on your camera’s flash before snapping the photo. Otherwise, you’d be met with a blurry mess of a photo that only sort of resembles the subject.

Now that most major smartphone OEMs have implemented nighttime photography modes into their cameras, I have a feeling we’re all using our camera flashes less often.
