Not long ago, we reviewed the Realme X50 Pro. We said the device was pretty good, but its sub-par camera setup left much to be desired. Now, Realme has unveiled the X50 Pro 5G’s little sibling ? the Realme X50m 5G ? and though we doubt it will address the more premium variant’s camera issues, you’ll probably want to give it a look.
The Realme X50m touts several of the things that make the X50 Pro so good, namely 5G connectivity and a high-refresh rate display. Even though it comes with a slightly downgraded CPU in the form of the Snapdragon 765G, the handset’s 6.57-inch Full HD+ display supports up to 120Hz. For comparison, the X50 Pro tops out at 90Hz.

This is even more impressive considering the Realme X50m’s incredibly low price, which starts at only 1,999 yuan (~$280). That’s nearly half the price if its more premium ~$528 counterpart.
Other than that, the X50m features the Adreno 630 GPU, 6 or 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 4,300mAh battery, 30W fast charging, Android 10, and a quad-camera setup. This rear-facing camera array touts a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and two 2MP sensors, one for macro and one for portrait shots.
All in all, for less than $300, the Realme X50m 5G packs one hell of a punch. It’s nearly impossible to get 5G and a 120Hz display at this price. The device goes on sale April 29, so if you are looking for a new budget-friendly handset, you need to give it a look then.
