- A purported render of the Huawei P50 Pro has emerged.
- The smartphone is said to feature a curved 6.6-inch display with a reworked selfie camera system.
Info relating to the Huawei P50 Pro has been hard to come by thus far, but now we have some idea of what the flagship might entail. Tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has posted a bunch of details to Voice, including a first look at Huawei’s next flagship smartphone.
The front-facing render suggests the P50 will feature some noticeable differences compared to the Huawei P40 Pro. Gone is the dual punch hole selfie camera and in comes a centrally-mounted single shooter more akin to the Galaxy Note 20 series.
According to Hemmerstoffer, the phone also ditches the magnetic earpiece used on the P40 Pro for a more traditional setup.
In terms of measurements, the P50 Pro is said to sport a 6.6-inch display with tapered sides mounted in a body that’s 73mm wide and 159mm long. This would make it a relatively compact device compared to its contemporaries despite its screen size.
As far as the phone’s rear plate goes, the render doesn’t aid our imagination. The leak doesn’t reveal much about the phone’s internals either, but we can hazard a few guesses of what it could boast.
It’s possible the Huawei P50 Pro will employ the Kirin 9000 chipset mated to a healthy dose of RAM. Expect the phone to focus on imaging performance as per previous P series models. There are also suggestions that the phone could launch with Harmony OS, but it really is too early to tell.
Huawei launched the P40 series in March 2020, so it’s likely we’ll see the P50 line revealed around Q1 or Q2 2021. Before then, expect plenty of info to spill about the flagship.
