Today, Verizon announced that it will soon sell the Samsung Galaxy A71, the highest-end Galaxy A phone that Samsung plans to launch in the US this year. The Galaxy A71 is compatible with Big Red’s mmWave-based 5G network.
With a retail price of $650, the Samsung Galaxy A71 is now the least expensive option for shoppers looking to buy a Verizon 5G phone. The next cheapest option is the OnePlus 8, which starts at $799 on the network.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 765 processor and comes with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a quad-lens camera on the rear, and an enormous 4,500mAh battery. It even has a headphone jack.
Verizon will start selling the Galaxy A71 as a pre-order on July 9, 2020, with general sales starting on July 16. You can buy the phone outright for $650 or pay $27.08 per month for 24 months. As a special limited-time promotion, if you add a premium unlimited line when buying the Samsung Galaxy A71 via Verizon’s online store, you can slash down the monthly price to just $15 each month, which would bring the total price for the phone down to just $360. This must be done online to get the discount, though.
