1. Mouse: Logitech MX Anywhere 2s

Chromebook trackpads get the job done, but there is nothing like the comfort and precision of a mouse. This is easily the best Chromebook accessory you can get, and there are some great options available. We love the Logitech MX Anywhere 2s. It is small and light, but also brings many higher-end features to the table.

The 4,000 DPI sensor is precise. It comes with an integrated battery that should last 70 days. The device can use both USB receivers and Bluetooth. Furthermore, the MX Anywhere 2s can also connect to multiple devices and operating systems at a time. You may need specialized software for some of the features, which Chrome OS doesn’t have, but it’s still an amazing mouse and you can take advantage of its other features when using it with other computers.

2. Keyboard: Brydge C-Type Chrome OS Keyboard

Brydge Chrome OS Keyboard - one of the best Chromebook accessories

While some of the most expensive Chromebooks have amazing keyboards, the truth is many of them lack in this department. A quality keyboard can be one of the best Chromebook accessories you can spend your hard-earned cash on, especially if you will be typing extensively. There are three main factors to consider when picking the right Chromebook keyboard: it needs to look good, feel even better, and it should have all the dedicated Chrome OS keys.

Our favorite is the Brydge C-Type Chrome OS Keyboard. It’s sleek and beautifully designed, made with a one-piece aluminum construction, comfortably spaced keys, and a small profile to keep it portable. It can also connect both via USB Type-C or Bluetooth 4.1. The manufacturer also claims an insane 6-month battery life.

3. Monitor: ASUS ZenScreen Go

The Asus Zenscreen Go is one of the best Chromebook accessories due to its portability, which is what Chrome OS is all about. And the best part is the 15.6-inch screen monitor can be used both at home or taken wherever you wish.

Included is a 7800mAh battery battery that should keep the screen going for about four hours. It can connect to your Chromebook via USB Type-C or Micro HDMI. Resolution isn’t amazing, but 1920 x 1080 isn’t bad for this screen’s intended use. If you are looking for a more traditional monitor, you can check out our list of the best monitors above.

4. SD card

Any SD card with faster speeds should work, but if you really want a recommendation we are fans of Sandisk and Samsung cards. Check out our link below to read more about them.

5. Laptop bag: Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L

Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L

The Peak Design Everyday Sling is one of our very own David’s favorite laptop bags, and for good reason. This 10-liter bag looks and feels top-notch. It is also very handy, as it can fit a 13-inch laptop, which means it is one of the best Chromebook accessories unless you are rocking one of the few larger Chrome OS computers.

This bag is mostly made for photographers, something you will notice when you see the internal dividers, which are made to fit lenses and camera bodies. The modular system allows you to customize the bag to your liking, though. Even if you are no camera buff, you can use the space to keep things neatly organized.

6. Laptop cover: AmazonBasics Laptop Sleeve

Maybe you already have a bag you love to use but still need some added protection. The AmazonBasics Laptop Sleeve is… well, pretty basic. It gets the job done at a very low price and with no bells and whistles. It’s available in many sizes and can be purchased in a variety of color options.

The link above is there for those who may want to get something a little fancier.

7. Docking hub: Uni USB-C Hub

What makes this one of the best Chromebook accessories is its ability to expand your laptops experience to use other accessories. This little gadget can charge your USB Type-C device, all while adding ports your computer may lack. It includes a microSD card reader, an SD card reader, a couple USB 3.0 ports, and an HDMI port. It’s also small and portable, which means you can take your expandability on-the-go.

8. Headphones: Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT

Chromebook audio can be tiny, so a good pair of headphones is definitely one of the best Chromebook accessories you can get. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT takes everything that we loved about the original ATH-M50x and adapts it for wireless listening.

These headphones have up-to-date Bluetooth 5.0 firmware and support aptX HD for high-quality streaming from your favorite services. Features are sparse, but Audio-Technica has never relied on gimmicks. Instead, the headphones deliver excellent Bluetooth sound quality at a fair price. Plus, the 31.2 hour battery life is a huge perk. If you need a pair of wireless headphones to take from the home to the streets, these are promising.

9. Speaker: JBL Charge 4

Another department Chromebooks (or laptops in general) are usually not the top contenders in is audio. A good speaker will prove to be one of the best Chromebook accessories you can get, and the JBL Charge 4 is one of our favorites.

The Charge 4 is a perfect compromise between a speaker that sounds good but is still tough enough to bring to the beach. It’s wrapped in an IPX7 waterproof fabric that protects it from water damage. You can expect just under 14 hours of battery life but, as the name implies, you can also siphon off some of that juice to your other devices via a USB output on the back. The JBL Charge 4 sounds very good, especially if you’re a fan of bass.

10. Battery pack: Omnicharge Omni 20+

A good way to keep your mobile devices juiced up is getting a portable power bank. You can’t just grab any battery pack and expect it to charge up your Chromebook laptop, though. You will need a bit more power for that, and the Omnicharge Omni 20+ has it.

In addition to the two regular USB ports, the Omni 20+ features a USB-C port for input and output. Thanks to Power Delivery, the USB-C port delivers up to 60W of output and 45W of input. In case you need even more power, the Omni 20+ even features an AC outlet with 100W output. As if that wasn’t enough, the Omni 20+ delivers up to 10W of wireless charging output. It’s not cheap, but it’s a hell of a power bank!

Chromebooks can definitely become a good PC alternative. I have previously used a Chromebook as my only work computer for a whole month! Improving the experience with the best Chromebook accessories is definitely an important step, though. Especially if you will be using a Chromebook extensively.
