The mid-range smartphone space is starting to heat up with some awesome phones launched in 2020 so far. We decided to pit two of the most popular models against each other in a Speed Test G round: Google Pixel 4a vs OnePlus Nord.
As many of you likely already know, the OnePlus Nord has a more advanced CPU and GPU as compared to the Pixel 4a. The Nord is packing a Snapdragon 765G paired with an Adreno 620 GPU while the Pixel 4a is powered by a Snapdragon 730G and an Adreno 618. As such, it’s pretty much a given that the Nord will win the day in this Google Pixel 4a vs OnePlus Nord speed test match.
However, things don’t go quite as planned as the Pixel 4a is pretty much neck-and-neck with the Nord for most of the fight. It’s only when heavy GPU tasks begin that we see the Nord taking a solid lead. This is notable when you take into account that the Pixel 4a costs $349 while the Nord’s price is closer to $500.
Is spending that extra $150 going to be worth it if your primary concern is daily processing power? Watch the video and find out!
