- The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 5G has appeared in a leaked commercial.
- The ad shows the productivity skills of the upcoming foldable phone.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series earlier this month. However, the company didn’t reveal much about its specs, pricing, or availability. Since then, we’ve seen two leaked hands-on videos of the foldable phone and nothing more. However, it looks like an official Samsung ad detailing the key features of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G leaked over the weekend.
The alleged Samsung ad, leaked by tipster Abhishek Yadav, shows the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G in both its Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze colorways. It emphasizes the phone’s dual displays as well as its productivity chops.
As shown in the ad, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G features an “Adaptive Flex Mode which allows for hands-free photos and videos. This mode was also previously detailed in a video by YouTube channel Jimmy Is Promo. It can be activated by simply folding the phone halfway when the camera app is open or by pressing an icon within the app.

Other than the flex mode, the leaked Samsung commercial also shows how multitasking works on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, including different ways of navigating, dragging and dropping, and using three apps side-by-side.
Samsung uses something called Flex UI on the phone so you can use one app on one half of the screen and another on the other half. It also enables you to split the functionality of a single app when the phone is flexed down the middle. For instance, you can watch a YouTube video on one half of the screen and scroll through other recommended videos at the same time on the second half.
You could do most of these things on the original Galaxy Fold too, but we’re hoping that the experience is much smoother this time around given the 120Hz screen on the new phone. You can watch the leaked commercial in the video embedded above.
Sadly, the ad does not give out a release date for the new foldable phone. However, you can now go and reserve it on Samsung’s website.
