- The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has surfaced in live photos from a Taiwanese regulator.
- Promo animations have also provided a clear look at the smartwatch.
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3 may be one of the more poorly kept hardware secrets this summer.
To start, live photos of the next-generation smartwatch have emerged from Taiwan’s NCC (via The_Tech_Guy and MySmartPrice) in certification filings. They largely confirm what you’d expect — this will be a subtle evolution of the original Galaxy Watch design that revolves around slightly smaller 41mm and 45mm case sizes, with wireless charging when you need a top-up. A silver-colored stainless steel casing is on display here, but black steel and titanium are also expected.
Simultaneously, well-known leak provider Evan Blass has obtained what appears to be a promo animation for the Galaxy Watch 3. The clip offers a glimpse at some of the watch faces for the upcoming wristwear, and touts common features like calls, messaging, and music.

It’s still not certain when the new smartwatch will arrive. One report had the Watch 3 arriving as soon as July, but Samsung has made a habit of unveiling new watches in August in recent years. Between the certification and leaks, it’s evident that a formal debut is at least getting close.
