  • Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Tab S7 Plus specs have reportedly leaked.
  • The tablet could sport a battery in excess of 10,000mAh.
  • It’s expected to launch on August 5 during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event.

After CAD-based renders of the Galaxy Tab S7 broke cover early last month, it gave us a pretty good glimpse of what the flagship tablet could look like. Now, SamMobile revealed what we could expect from the Plus model.

The report notes that two tablets will be offered, a standard Galaxy S7 Tab and a Galaxy S7 Tab Plus with the latter sporting the newly-announced Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset with 5G support.

The Tab S7 Plus could also feature a 12.4-inch display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,752. It’s set to retain the Galaxy Tab S6‘s in-display fingerprint sensor. Gamers and fervent multitaskers could likely benefit the most from the larger screen and snappier chipset, while at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage could also feature.

No new love is given to tablet photographers though. The Tab S7 Plus is set to retain the dual rear camera array used on the Tab S6, with 5MP secondary camera joining the primary 13MP snapper. An 8MP selfie camera is also set to feature.

But perhaps the biggest news is the possible size of the Tab S7 Plus’ battery. The flagship slab could sport a 10,090mAh battery, which could make it a ridiculous all-day prospect to refill if Samsung retains the Tab S6’s 15W charging support.

While we felt that the Galaxy Tab S6 was the best Android tablet we ever reviewed, the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus could present those shopping for an enthusiast tablet or iPad Pro alternative with a few headaches.

One question does remain though: price. For comparison, the Galaxy Tab S6 made its debut at $549 with a Snapdragon 855 chipset, a 10.5-inch display, and a 7,040mAh battery. With its possible buffs, the Galaxy Tab S7 series could push this number substantially higher.

Expect Samsung to launch the Galaxy Tab S7 series alongside the Galaxy Note 20 range at its digital Unpacked event on August 5.
