People really seem to love the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. With the big changes that came along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series — not all of them welcome — the Note 9 might be the last Note of its kind, so people are holding onto them.

Now, a consumer survey from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) gives us yet more proof that people just can’t get enough of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The ACSI conducted its annual survey of smartphone customer satisfaction here in the United States, and the Galaxy Note 9 topped the list.

Out of a points scale of 0 to 100, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 received a score of 85. The survey involved hundreds of smartphone owners who gauged their phones using various metrics, such as the ease of making phone calls, battery life, design, video quality, etc.

Interestingly, directly underneath the Note 9 with a score of 84 is the Samsung Galaxy S9 — a phone that’s even older than the Note 9. Matching that score of 84 are the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the iPhone XS Max.

As one would expect to see here in the US, the rest of the list is filled with phones from Samsung and Apple, with only LG popping in with two of its budget phones. Other heavy hitters in the smartphone industry — such as OnePlus, Google, Xiaomi, Huawei, etc. — are nowhere to be found.

This survey solidifies a few trends we see often here in the US. The first is that people tend to hold onto their phones for a while, as not one 2020 phone makes the list. The second is that we have a duopoly here with only two brands really seeing any major market share. The third is that people like budget phones almost as much as they do flagships, as even the Galaxy J7 Prime gets a score of 81.

Regardless, it’s nice to see the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 still getting some love. It really is a great phone.
