Between high demand and the current situation in the world, OnePlus is having issues with the availability of its devices. To get its phones into the hands of buyers, the company has announced a series of flash sales that will make the OnePlus 8 available in India. Additionally, the company announced a tweak to the availability of the OnePlus 8 Pro in the UK and Europe.
OnePlus 8 India Flash Sale
Rather than open sales, as was first announced, OnePlus will have limited sales across online and offline locations where buyers in India can order the phones. The OnePlus 8 will be available on May 29, 2020, at 12PM local time.
OnePlus also said it would announce the full release schedule for its OnePlus 8 devices, including the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro, so it appears that this is just a temporary solution.
OnePlus 8 EU/UK Flash Sales
While the OnePlus 8 Pro is already out in Europe, availability has been scarce of late. The company said it is doing everything it can to get as many OnePlus 8 Pro devices out of the factory as it can.
To try to get the device in the hands of people who want one, the company is doing a series of flash sales with limited availability of the devices. The company will release the OnePlus 8 Pro Glacial Green in all of its European markets every Thursday at 10AM UK time.
Additionally, OnePlus announced that a limited edition Ultramarine Blue version of the phone would be available during the first flash sale in all markets where it initially launched.
This will lead to some frustration from people buyers looking to get their hands on the OnePlus 8 Pro. Unfortunately, the company didn’t announce when it would be able to return to a more traditional shipping schedule for the OnePlus 8 Pro in European markets, so we’ll have the wait and see what the future holds.
