The Google Pixel 4a has already been comprehensively leaked earlier this year, courtesy of a Cuban news outlet. That leak essentially told us almost all there was to know about Google’s sophomore budget series.
It looks like Google could be one step closer to actually releasing the new series though, as pictures from an invite-only Pixel Facebook community (h/t: TechDroider) shows several apparent Pixel 4a packages. Check out the tweet below for both pictures.

The images seem to come from a community member in Vietnam, and we previously heard that Google shifted some smartphone production to the country.
We’d still take the images with a grain of salt, but if true, it suggests that the Pixel 4a series can’t be far away from release. And stranger things have happened when it comes to Pixel leaks. For example, the Pixel 3a originally leaked in Ukraine back in August 2018 — eight months before its eventual reveal.
The Pixel 4a was expected to follow in the Pixel 3a’s footsteps and arrive at Google I/O, which is usually held in May each year. But I/O 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, Google could choose to follow in the footsteps of other brands and deliver an online launch event.
Previous Pixel 4a leaks have revealed that the phone has a Snapdragon 730 processor, a punch-hole cutout, rear fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm port. You can check out all the Pixel 4a leaks at our hub over here.
