OnePlus may have dropped the pop-up camera for the OnePlus 8 series, but it looks like another Android brand still sees potential in the pop-up.
A fresh set of CAD renders from Pigtou and leaker Onleaks reveal what appears to be a brand new Samsung Galaxy phone with a pop-up selfie camera.
Aside from the pop-up camera, we can glean from the renders that the phone will have an all-screen display, a triple rear camera, a USB-C port, and a rear physical fingerprint reader.
There’s no word on what Galaxy model this could be, though considering even the Galaxy A31 has an in-display fingerprint reader and four rear cameras, it seems likely based on the above that this phone will be a lower-end device — perhaps even part of the M series line.
Whatever phone this turns out to be, it’s great to see at least one more phone possibly on the horizon with the divisive and increasingly scarce pop-up camera. Samsung has previous experience with bizarre camera modules with the Galaxy A80, so this latest design is pretty tame by comparison.
We’ll keep an ear out for more information on Samsung’s pop-up camera phone. In the meantime, be sure to share your thoughts on the design in the comments.
