Update, April 16 2020 (5:26AM ET): The Motorola Edge Plus is getting most of the attention, but the standard Motorola Edge is also expected to launch later this year. We’ve previously seen leaked images and specs via XDA-Developers, and now more images have appeared online.
The first picture (seen above) comes via leaker Ishan Agarwal and Pricebaba, and apparently shows off the back of the Motorola Edge. We get a look at the unique color scheme as well as what seems to be a triple camera layout. It’s believed that the fourth module is a laser autofocus sensor.
We also get another look at what seems to be the Motorola Edge via Mobilissimo (seen above). The outlet gives us a clearer image of the camera housing, as well as the text near the housing. The text reveals 64MP, 16MP, and 8MP resolutions as previously reported. So hopefully this means we’ve got a normal/ultra-wide/telephoto combo. We also get a shot of the front of the phone and various screenshots.
Previous leaks state that the phone will have a Snapdragon 765 series processor, 5G capabilities, a 90Hz screen, and a 4,500mAh battery.
Original article, March 16 2020: The Motorola Edge Plus flagship recently leaked, set to offer a Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G connectivity, and purportedly packing a 108MP triple camera setup.
That isn’t the only device we should expect, as we’ve also seen evidence of a Motorola Edge upper mid-range phone. Now, XDA-Developers has published images showing this device from several angles.
The images confirm several key features, such as a curved screen, headphone port, USB-C port (as you’d expect), and a 90Hz punch-hole display. The outlet adds that you’ve still got volume and power buttons here, unlike the similarly curved Mate 30 Pro.
We also get confirmation of a triple camera setup featuring a 64MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide snapper, and 8MP telephoto sensor. Selfies are purportedly handled by a 25MP shooter capable of 6MP pixel-binned snaps.
Otherwise, XDA‘s source reports that the phone also has microSD support, an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and no wireless charging.
Earlier leaks point to a Snapdragon 765 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery. So it looks like the Motorola Edge will definitely pack plenty of power and juice in the upper mid-range tier.
