- Mobvoi has released TicKasa wireless headphones that deliver active noise cancelation for $130.
- They also deliver high-quality aptX audio streaming.
Mobvoi’s audio lineup focuses on value for your money, and that’s certainly true for its newest offering.
The company has introduced wireless, over-ear TicKasa ANC Headphones that promise active noise cancelation and low-lag aptX audio for $130 — well below the prices you see for some Bluetooth headsets.
Like much of the competition, TicKasa uses several microphones to both drown out external noise (with five microphones) and improve your outbound voice quality (with two microphones).
The headphones aren’t the longest-lasting on the market with 20 hours of listening with ANC on and 30 hours without cancelation, but they do support Bluetooth 5.0 if your phone or computer uses the newer wireless technology. Be prepared to wait when it’s time to recharge, though, as it takes about four hours to top up using micro-USB. Sorry, there’s no USB-C to be found here.
The TicKasa headphones are available now in black and gray color schemes. These likely won’t be the best wireless headphones in terms of sheer audio quality, but you’re also getting quite a lot for what you’re paying. Mobvoi’s hardware might be worth considering if you’re working from home and want headphones that can help you focus on your projects or relax at the end of a long day.
