Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 Android skin was revealed last month, and it introduced the visually impressive Super Wallpapers feature. These wallpapers show Earth or Mars on the lockscreen, before transitioning to a close-up view of the respective planet when you reach the homescreen.
The MIUI 12 Super Wallpapers were ported to most Android devices a short while after their reveal thanks to XDA developer linuxct, but it looks like the developer has uncovered and added a few more close-up views.
As it is right now, the Earth Super Wallpaper transitions from a satellite’s eye view of Earth to a valley or canyon of sorts. But the newly uncovered views now let you transition to a forest/rice paddy or a glacier.
Meanwhile, the Mars Super Wallpaper transitions from a space-based view of the Red Planet to mountainous terrain. But linuxct has also discovered the option to switch to a giant crater or another mountain range.
The developer has also tweaked the dark mode behavior, allowing you to force dark or light modes, or letting it follow the system-wide theme. You can download the updated MIUI 12 Super Wallpapers port via the Mega link below, courtesy of linuxct and XDA-Developers.Â
