Microsoft’s Surface Go 2, announced Wednesday, offers an updated take on Microsoft’s ultralight, ultraportable Surface tablet, together with an updated processor, better display, and LTE options right out of the box.
Two years ago, Microsoft launched the original Surface Go, a small, relatively inexpensive 10-inch Surface tablet optimized for on-the-go business travelers and students alike. The Surface Go 2 squeezes a 10.5-inch display inside the same form factor, boosts the resolution to 1920×1280 and offers the choice of either an 8th-gen Core m3-8100Y chip (with 64 percent more performance) or a Pentium Gold 4425Y processor. The same 5MP user-facing camera remains, now significantly more important for work-at-home users.
