  • Spotify is experiencing major connectivity issues.
  • The service is aware of the problem, but there’s no timeline on a fix.

No, it’s not just you. Mega-popular music streaming service Spotify does indeed appear to be offline or experiencing major connectivity troubles right now.

“We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out! We’ll keep you posted, read a tweet from the official Spotify Cares Twitter account.

As for specific issues, users report that they’re unable to search for songs or stream music. Other Spotify users also note that their playlists are wiped, but presumably this is just a temporary bug rather than permanent deletion.

Some users report that they’re still able to play locally stored tracks and use offline mode. So you’re in luck for now if you tend to download most of your tracks anyway.

The outage doesn’t seem to be restricted to any specific region, with users in the likes of France, Israel, Japan, Portugal, Russia, and the US all reporting issues on Downdetector.

Nevertheless, we’ll update the article as soon as we hear more from Spotify regarding the outage. In the meantime, you can check out our list of the 10 best free streaming music apps on Android.
