Is AMD Zen 3 delayed until 2021? Nope

Pay no attention to those rumors that say AMD’s upcoming Zen 3 CPUs are being delayed until next year, sources tell PCWorld.

Update: AMD officials have now confirmed that Zen 3 is on track. This article originally published on June 16, 2020 but was updated on June 17 to include the official statement below.

Hardware circles were abuzz this week that AMD had decided to push back the highly-anticipated Zen 3 CPU, apparently because the company wanted to cash in on the popularity of the current Zen 2-based Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

“AMD confirms that the rumor on ‘Zen 3’ delay is inaccurate,� an AMD spokeswoman said in a statement Wednesday morning.
