Huawei
Update, May 12, 2020 (02:30 PM ET):Â Yesterday, we found out some more info on the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition as it relates to Germany (and likely the rest of Europe). Now, though, we have some info for the device as it pertains to the United Kingdom.
According to Huawei, the P30 Pro New Edition will be available in the UK starting June 3, 2020. It will be available in Silver Frost only and will cost £699 (~$859). If you buy one before the end of June you’ll get a free Huawei Watch GT 2e (it doesn’t look like the FreeBuds 3 offer will happen in the UK). The rest of the info on the device is the same as what’s described in the original article below.

Original article, May 11, 2020 (03:30 PM ET): Because the United States government placed the company on the so-called Entity List a year ago, Huawei is unable to release new smartphones with Google Apps on board. However, that can’t stop it from re-releasing smartphones from before the ban started, which is what we see with the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition.
After revealing the phone’s existence last week, Huawei has now officially confirmed the pricing, specs, and colors for the “new P30 Pro. The information the company gave us is specifically for Germany, but the company told us it will land in many more countries as well, likely keeping the same configurations.
Huawei P30 Pro New Edition details
According to Huawei, the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition will hit general sale in Germany on May 15 for €749 (~$810). You’ll be able to choose between three colorways: black, Silver Frost, and Aurora. Silver Frost is a colorway we saw on the newer P40 Pro but never saw on the original P30 Pro. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get the New Edition in other P30 Pro colors, such as Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, or Pearl White.
As far as specs go, the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition carries over almost all of the same configurations as last year’s P30 Pro, which Huawei needed to do to keep Google Apps onboard. The only big difference is that you cannot get a 128GB or 512GB version of the new phone — you are locked to 256GB of internal storage. That’s paired with the Kirin 980 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 6.47-inch OLED display, 4,200mAh battery, and the same highly-regarded quad-lens rear camera array with 5x optical zoom.
Since all Huawei’s really done is offer a 2019 phone in a 2020 colorway, the real benefit here is the lowered price (the same phone in 2019 cost €1,099). To sweeten the pot even more, Huawei is throwing in two deals for anyone who buys one. The first is a free set of Huawei FreeBuds 3 and the second is a discount on the Huawei Watch GT 2 which knocks down the smartwatch’s price to just €99.
Visit Huawei’s website to grab the Huawei P30 Pro New Edition once it goes on sale on May 15. Hurry, though: the smartphone will only be on sale for about a month and supplies will be limited.
