  • Huami is bringing the Amazfit Bip U smartwatch to the US.
  • The Bip U Pro is also on offer as a rebranded Amazfit Pop Pro.
  • Both smartwatches will be available to purchase on Amazon.

Huami’s Amazfit is broadening its brand offerings in the US with the debut of the Bip U and the Bip U Pro in the country, the company announced in a press release.

The Amazfit Bip U made its debut in India back in October packing an Apple Watch-like squared face with a 1.43-inch LCD. Smooth lines meet pastel colors with a big dial also visible on the watch’s right flank.

As for its fitness monitoring prowess, the watch also brings workout tracking for up to 60 activities, heart-rate, and SpO2 tracking. The PAI health assessment program also features, while stress levels and menstrual cycles can also be tallied by the watch. Finally, up to nine days of battery life can be garnered from the wearable per charge.

In India, the Amazfit Bip U retails for Rs 3,999 (~$54). In the US, it’s launching at $59.99 and is available on Amazon right now for $10 off.

The Amazfit Bip U Pro is effectively a rebranded Amazfit Pop Pro for western markets but places above the Bip U in the pecking order. Nevertheless, on paper, it boasts similar specs to the standard Bip U, including a 1.43-inch display, the same heart-rate and SpO2 monitoring cocktail, and 60 workout tracking modes. There’s also 5ATM water resistance with up to nine days of battery life per charge.

Setting it apart from the standard Bip U is the addition of onboard GPS smarts and Amazon Alexa support.

The Amazfit Bip U Pro is set to retail for $69.99 on Amazon, a little pricier than its Chinese debut price of 349 yuan (~$52).
