CES 2021 officially starts today, and audio brand Edifier is trying to make a mark early with the release of two new pairs of true wireless earbuds and a Bluetooth speaker. With a combination of noise cancellation and an emphasis on sound quality, Edifier is hoping its unique-looking products will make an impression.

TWS NB2 Pro

The first pair of true wireless earbuds announced are the TWS NB2 Pro (above), which have a few nifty features to go along with the futuristic design. They look like something straight out of Iron Man, with angled stems attached to each earbud. Besides active noise cancelling they also have an ambient sound mode which uses the microphones to amplify the sound around you. This can be helpful if you’re trying to hear a public announcement or just having a quick conversation with someone.

These are rocking Bluetooth 5.0 and have a IP54 rating to protect against sweat damage. Edifier is claiming seven hours of constant of playback with noise cancelling turned on or nine hours without it. The charging case will provide an extra 23 hours of charge and it also features fast charging. So, just 15 minutes on the charger will give you two hours of playback.

The TWS NB2 Pro will be available March 2021 for $99.

The second pair of true wireless earbuds are the GM5. These have just as much of a unique design as the TWS NB2 Pro, with a charging case that is almost transparent. They also feature aptX low latency which makes audio lag a non-issue. You’ll also get noise cancelling and proximity sensors in the earbuds so you can auto-pause your music when you remove an earbud. These have a claimed eight hours of constant playback, with the charging case providing an extra four full charges.

You can pick up the GM5 true wireless earbuds March 2021 for just $79.

If true wireless earbuds aren’t your thing, Edifier is also dropping a new Bluetooth speaker. It has a fairly premium design with a wood grain finish on either side. Up top are some basic EQ controls for adjusting treble and bass as well as a volume knob. Inside the speaker is a Bluetooth 5.0 chip along with four drivers. You’ll get two 20W bass drivers as well as a dual 15W treble speakers.

While it’s impossible to say how these will sound until we get a chance to check them out, it’s not a bad offering for just $99. You can get one for yourself February 20, 2021.
