PUBG update: The latest
PUBG Mobile 0.19.0 update overview
Release date: July 7, 2020
The latest PUBG Mobile update is here, and with it come some huge changes for one of the world’s most popular games. The biggest new addition is an entire map, called Livik. The Nordic-inspired map is exclusive to PUBG Mobile, and it’s playable right away despite officially still being in beta.
Like Karakin, Livik is a smaller 2×2 kilometer map that supports 52-player battle royale combat. This smaller size and reduced player count leads to shorter match lengths at around 15 minutes. That’s not all though, as the map will also feature two exclusive weapons and an exclusive monster truck vehicle.
There’s also a new Spark the Flame-themed event in Classic Mode on Erangel and Miramar, and the new season (starting July 14) will expand on this theme with new cosmetics and unlockables. Check out the full list of balance changes and bug fixes on the official patch notes.

PUBG Mobile 0.18.0 update overview
Release date: May 7, 2020
The latest PUBG Mobile update brings a massive overhaul to the Miramar map, with new areas like the urban ruins and an oasis at the Northern part of the map. There’s also a chance for sandstorms to ravage certain areas of the map, reducing visibility to nil.
For the speed demons out there a new race track has been added throughout the entire Miramar map. There’s also a single Golden Mirado vehicle that spawns in each map, so try to find it and floss on your foes.
A number of other details were included in the patch notes, including two upcoming game modes, a new 20-player social mode, a new close range scope for rifles and shotguns, and some details about the new toy-themed season starting May 13. Check out the full patch notes over on the official blog post!
PUBG Mobile April update overview
Release date: April 16, 2020
We might all be stuck at home due to the global pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t explore new modes in PUBG Mobile! Starting tomorrow (April 16), Arctic Mode will enable a brand new way of experiencing the classic Vivendi map.
In it, players have a new foe added to the standard 99 enemies on the field: frigid weather. Gather branches and start fires indoors to keep your temperature high or start taking damage. You can also use new items or cook items to restore body heat, giving new meaning to “chicken dinner.
As an extra bonus, the snowboards added in the Winter Festival are back, and remote-control drones are making their debut. Use them to scout out the landscape and gain a tactical advantage over other combatants!
PUBG Mobile update 0.17.0 overview
Release date: March 3, 2020.
It’s been well over a month since the last PUBG Mobile update, but as March begins it’s time to celebrate the second anniversary of PUBG Mobile’s release! Special events like Season 12’s “2gether We Play theme, arcade machines, and an amusement park ride popping up in classic Erangel will punctuate the festivities starting next week.
This update also adds a new AirDrop weapon called the DBS Shotgun. It fires two rounds of 12-gauge ammo for extreme damage at close range.
Other notable changes include death replays, colorblind mode, enhanced teammate volume controls, and a return of the extra-realistic Hardcore Mode. For a full list of changes in the PUBG Mobile 0.17.0 update, check out the official patch notes.
PUBG Mobile update 0.16.0 overview
Release date: December 11, 2019.
It’s wintertime in Erangel, and that means it’s time to hit the slopes! Queueing in Classic mode has the chance to trigger Snow Paradise, where once per match players can hop in a cable car and freestyle snowboard down the mountain.
Snow Paradise isn’t the only new mode in the latest PUBG Mobile update, with the new vehicular combat mode RageGear available starting today. It splits players into two teams, with some driving and others manning a variety of mounted weapons. Don’t worry if you’re not into driving, because the driver can shoot too.Â
There are a number of other new features as well, including the ability to switch between first-person and third-person at will in Classic Mode. Plus, there are new cosmetics, friendly fire restrictions, performance improvements, weapon balancing, and more.
