- Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has posted a list of flagship features on Weibo.
- The executive asked users whether these features were necessary.
- It’s believed the firm has several high-end phones in the works for later this year.
We’ve heard murmurings that Xiaomi is working on a few more high-end phones for the second half of the year. Now, it looks like Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun may have dished out a few features for an upcoming flagship.
The Xiaomi executive took to Weibo (h/t: GizChina) to ask followers which features they felt were necessary on a high-end phone. Check out the screengrab below.
Some of the features mentioned by Lei include dual speakers, a high refresh rate, a 3.5mm port, NFC, 30x zoom or higher (presumably hybrid or digital zoom), a 4,500mAh battery or higher, and wireless charging.
It’s worth reiterating that the Xiaomi co-founder seems to be asking which features users actually need. But it would be weird to mention a feature in this context and not have it in an upcoming flagship (especially Xiaomi staples like IR blasters).

We’re not quite sure which device this list would apply to though, as Xiaomi apparently has a few high-end phones in the pipeline for later this year.
XDA-Developers previously reported that Xiaomi is working on a phone series with 120W charging and flagship Snapdragon silicon. There have also been rumors of a MediaTek-powered flagship too, purportedly dubbed the Redmi K30 Ultra.
