- The Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 5G may have broken cover in a leaked image.
- It looks like the Pixel 4a 5G will be bigger than the flagship.
- Google is expected to launch the standard Pixel 4a today.
The Google Pixel 4a has been extensively leaked in 2020, and we’re just about due for a reveal later today. This phone isn’t expected to be a 5G model though, but it looks like two 5G Pixel phones may have broken cover yesterday.
Serial tipster Ishan Agarwal shared an image (via Samsung Bloat) purportedly showing the Pixel 5 5G on the left and the Pixel 4a 5G on the right. Check out the image in the embedded tweet below.
I made a typo. I’m sorry. The brushed metal, smaller phone is Pixel 5 5G, on the left. The one on the right is Pixel 4a 5G which is bigger with a coloured power button. https://t.co/KcJfHB0Ptf

Agarwal suggests that the Pixel 4a 5G will be bigger than the standard model, basically making it a Pixel 4a XL in all but name. Here’s hoping Google adds a bigger battery to both phones, as 5G connectivity tends to sap battery life in a big way compared to 4G.
The picture also shows what seems to be a very similar camera housing for the two phones. Google added a secondary rear camera to the Pixel 4 series last year, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if both phones continue this trend. Then again, leaked images of the standard Pixel 4a show a camera housing that’s similar to the Pixel 4, but the budget phone is only expected to pack a single rear camera.
The Samsung Bloat account-holder also claims that the Pixel 4a 5G will retail for $500 at launch, while suggesting that it could be equipped with the Snapdragon 765G processor. This account doesn’t have a long track record at all, so it’s still worth taking these leaks with a pinch of salt.
