The Motorola Razr brought a wave of nostalgia when it was first revealed late last year, but the actual product paled in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. One of the biggest problems was the $1,500 price tag though, being more expensive than the Samsung foldable while offering much less.
Now, Motorola has slashed $500 off the price on its website, which means you can get the foldable flip phone for $1,000. That’s $300 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip’s current price. It’s worth noting that this Motorola Razr deal is for the Verizon variant, and the phone doesn’t have a physical SIM slot.
The first-generation Razr offers a 6.2-inch foldable OLED panel, 2018-era Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. You’re also getting a rather small 2,510mAh battery with 15W charging, and a 2.7-inch external display. Moto’s foldable also packs a single 16MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
All in all, the spec sheet mostly pales in comparison to the Galaxy Z Flip, which features flagship-level power, a bigger battery, dual rear cameras, and ultra-thin glass on the foldable screen. Furthermore, Motorola is readying a second-generation foldable for launch soon.
In any event, the Motorola Razr deal lasts until August 30 at 11:59PM CDT (August 31 at 12:59AM ET) or while stocks last. The website also notes that this deal can’t be combined with any other promo codes or discounts.
