Amazon sells a number of smart speakers in its Echo range, but it only has a few smart displays. If you’re looking for a smart display on the cheap, Amazon now has you covered with its Alexa-enabled screens going for as low as $50. Yeah, you heard that right.
The advantage of having an Amazon smart display is that not only can you use all Alexa-enabled features found on Echo speakers, you can also watch movies and TV shows on Amazon Prime, see recipes, make video calls, and more.
Right now, Amazon is discounting the Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 8 on its platform. Both smart displays were released in 2019 and the biggest difference between the two is the screen size.
While the Echo Show 5 features a 5.5-inch display, the Echo Show 8 comes with an 8-inch screen and a higher display resolution. The latter also has slightly bigger speakers in comparison. Both devices come in Sandstone and Charcoal colorways.
The Echo Show 5 is available for $49.99 on Amazon right now. That’s a discount of 44% or $40. Meanwhile, the Echo Show 8 is now priced at $79, down from $129, which means you’re saving almost 40% or $50 on the device.
