- The Black Shark 4 is on the launch track and is now being teased officially.
- Expect the phone to pack 120W fast charging and a 4,500mAh battery.
Black Shark is all set to take the covers off of its new gaming phone. The company’s CEO Luo Yuzhou has taken to Weibo to announce that the Black Shark 4 is on its way.
The executive hasn’t given out a launch date yet but has revealed that the phone will double charging speeds this year to adopt 120W fast charging. The battery capacity is a tad lower though — 4,500mAh compared to the 4,720mAh battery of the Black Shark 3. However, the Black Shark 4 will apparently gain full charge in less than 15 minutes compared to the 40-minute charge time of its predecessor.
Aside from the charging upgrade, you can expect the Black Shark 4 to feature the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset for flagship performance. We also expect liquid cooling tech to appear on the phone as it’s been a trademark of the series from the very beginning.

There’s no word on different variants, but if 2020 is anything to go by, you can expect Black Shark to launch regular and Pro versions of the new gaming flagship.
Elsewhere, the Black Shark 4 will most likely get a large OLED display with a high refresh rate. Last year’s models were capped at 90Hz, so we might see this year’s phone packing a 120Hz screen.
We’ll surely see more details emerge ahead of the phone’s launch. The Black Shark 3 went official in March last year, but since many flagships this year are on the fast track, we could see the new phone revealed earlier than that.
