It’s the beginning of April so you know what that means: it’s time for the April 2020 Android security patch to roll out. However, considering we’re in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, we weren’t sure if the update would land on time. Here it is though, pretty much when it should be here.
For active Pixel devices, the Android security patch is small this round with only three issues fixed on top of the usual security updates. Two of these Pixel-exclusive updates are related to Bluetooth problems while the third relates to lag when opening the keyboard in certain apps.

In other words, you likely won’t notice much of a difference with this April 2020 Android security patch on your Pixel as compared to yesterday. Still, having the most up-to-date security on your phone is always important.
