Update, July 1, 2020 (4:00 PM ET): Although other countries have already seen the Samsung Galaxy A21S, the entire world has been waiting to see the Galaxy A21. Now, the device has quietly launched here in the United States.
You can buy the Samsung Galaxy A21 right now from Samsung or you can head to Sprint, T-Mobile, or Metro by T-Mobile. Either way, the MSRP of the phone is just $249, making it a decent bargain for budget-conscious consumers. Unfortunately, Samsung is not yet selling an unlocked version, but we expect that should arrive shortly.
The Galaxy A21 comes with a MediaTek MT6765 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging capabilities. There are four cameras on the back nestled near a fingerprint sensor and it all runs on Android 10 out of the box.
Original article, April 8, 2020 (9 AM ET): The Samsung Galaxy A series is where the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer sells its most budget-oriented devices. If you are looking to get the best phone you can for the least amount of money possible, the Galaxy A line is where you should start your search.
However, all the newest phones in the Samsung Galaxy A line haven’t launched in the United States. That changes starting tomorrow, as two of the Galaxy A phones we’ve already seen land in other countries will arrive here in the US: the Galaxy A01 and Galaxy A51.
The Samsung Galaxy A01, as its name implies, is the lowest-tier of the bunch. With a starting price of just $109.99, this is the phone you want if you want to spend as little as possible and not head into Android Go territory. It will arrive on Verizon starting April 9 and then land on other carriers soon. You will also be able to buy it unlocked from Samsung.com or other select retailers.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 is a more premium device as compared to the Galaxy A01. It has more cameras, a bigger, higher-resolution display, a bigger battery, and more. It also has a bigger price, starting at $399.99. It will land on Verizon starting April 9 and will hit Sprint the next day on April 10. More carrier partnerships will happen soon, and you can always buy it unlocked directly from Samsung.
There are many more devices in the Samsung Galaxy A line on the way as well, including not one but two 5G-capable phones. The Samsung Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G will go for $499.99 and $599.99 respectively when they land in the States later this summer. The processor in the Galaxy A71 will likely be the Snapdragon 765 and it could launch in a mmWave version on Verizon sometime in July.
